Itinerary
Depart Cape Town
Meet your guide and depart the city, heading north along the R27 West Coast Road. Enjoy scenic views of Table Bay, and spot the occasional kite surfer or strandveld vegetation lining the highway
Arrive at West Coast National Park (WCNP)
Enter the park at the West Gate near Yzerfontein. Begin your exploration with a leisurely drive through the strandveld and fynbos, keeping an eye out for eland, ostrich, zebra, bontebok, and other wildlife.
Lagoon Viewpoint & Geelbek
Stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the turquoise Langebaan Lagoon, then visit the Geelbek Visitor Centre, set in a historic Cape Dutch homestead. Explore the bird hide (bring binoculars!) and perhaps see flamingos or great white pelicans.
Lunch at Geelbek or Beach Picnic
Enjoy a traditional South African lunch at Geelbek Restaurant or a packed gourmet picnic under a milkwood tree or at the beach. Your guide will provide refreshments and local treats.
Langebaan Beach Stop
Exit the park and drive into Langebaan, a charming lagoon-side town. Walk along the white-sand beach, explore local art shops, or enjoy a coffee with a view.
Return via Coastal Route
On the return journey, we follow the scenic coastal road past Yzerfontein and Melkbosstrand for ocean views.

Day 1: Cape Town – West Coast National Park – Velddrif – Citrusdal
Depart early from Cape Town and head north to the West Coast National Park. Explore the Postberg section (open in flower season), where fields of wildflowers paint the coastline in dazzling hues.
Enjoy lunch in Langebaan, with sea views and fresh coastal cuisine.
Travel onward to Bokkomlaan in Velddrif, a riverside lane lined with old fisherman’s cottages, local art shops, and birdlife along the Berg River.
Late afternoon, continue inland to The Baths Natural Hot Springs near Citrusdal. Enjoy a relaxing soak under the stars.

Day 2: Citrusdal – Biedouw Valley – Clanwilliam
After an early breakfast, travel into the Cederberg region and visit the spectacular Biedouw Valley, known for its wild, remote beauty and dazzling wildflower displays.
Return via Clanwilliam, one of South Africa’s oldest towns, to visit the Ramskop Wildflower Garden and the historic flower church.
Spend a relaxing evening in the tranquil town.

Day 3: Clanwilliam – Rooibos Tea & Olive Tasting – Cape Town

End the tour with a guided olive tasting at Kloovenburg Estate in Riebeek-Kasteel, sampling award-winning olive oils and products.

After breakfast, ascend to the Piekenierskloof Plateau for a rooibos tea tasting and farm experience at a working fynbos flower farm. Learn how this indigenous tea is cultivated and sample unique blends grown in the Cederberg foothills.
Visit a citrus packhouse in the valley to see Citrusdal’s famed export industry in action (seasonal operation permitting).
End the day with scenic views over the Olifants River Valley.

Day 3: Citrusdal – Biedouw Valley – Clanwilliam – Vanrhynsdorp
Depart early for the remote Biedouw Valley, one of the Cederberg’s most spectacular spring flower destinations.
Enjoy lunch at Traveller’s Rest, a peaceful riverside spot near ancient rock art trails.
Continue to Clanwilliam for a visit to the historic flower church and the Ramskop Wildflower Garden, featuring over 350 indigenous species.
Travel on to Vanrhynsdorp for check-in at Letsatsi Lodge.

Day 4: Nieuwoudtville – Matjiesfontein Farm – Hantam Botanical Garden
After breakfast, drive over the majestic Vanrhyns Pass into Nieuwoudtville, famed for its springtime bulbs and Namaqualand daisies.
Explore Matjiesfontein Flower Farm, and then visit the Hantam National Botanical Garden, a key biodiversity site managed by SANBI.
Return to Letsatsi Lodge for a final evening in the Northern Cape landscape.

Begin your journey back to Cape Town with a stop at Bokkomlaan in Velddrif. This charming fishing village offers birdwatching on the Berg River and a taste of the West Coast’s bokkom (dried fish) culture.
Make one last flower stop at Postberg in the West Coast National Park, if timing allows.
Return to Cape Town by late afternoon.

Day 3 – Early Hike & Transfer
