Itinerary

Depart Cape Town

Meet your guide and depart the city, heading north along the R27 West Coast Road. Enjoy scenic views of Table Bay, and spot the occasional kite surfer or strandveld vegetation lining the highway

Enter the park at the West Gate near Yzerfontein. Begin your exploration with a leisurely drive through the strandveld and fynbos, keeping an eye out for eland, ostrich, zebra, bontebok, and other wildlife.

Stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the turquoise Langebaan Lagoon, then visit the Geelbek Visitor Centre, set in a historic Cape Dutch homestead. Explore the bird hide (bring binoculars!) and perhaps see flamingos or great white pelicans.

Enjoy a traditional South African lunch at Geelbek Restaurant or a packed gourmet picnic under a milkwood tree or at the beach. Your guide will provide refreshments and local treats.

Exit the park and drive into Langebaan, a charming lagoon-side town. Walk along the white-sand beach, explore local art shops, or enjoy a coffee with a view.

On the return journey, we follow the scenic coastal road past Yzerfontein and Melkbosstrand for ocean views.

Enjoy lunch in Langebaan, with sea views and fresh coastal cuisine.
Travel onward to Bokkomlaan in Velddrif, a riverside lane lined with old fisherman’s cottages, local art shops, and birdlife along the Berg River.
Late afternoon, continue inland to The Baths Natural Hot Springs near Citrusdal. Enjoy a relaxing soak under the stars.

After an early breakfast, travel into the Cederberg region and visit the spectacular Biedouw Valley, known for its wild, remote beauty and dazzling wildflower displays.
Return via Clanwilliam, one of South Africa’s oldest towns, to visit the Ramskop Wildflower Garden and the historic flower church.
Spend a relaxing evening in the tranquil town.

Return to Cape Town by late afternoon.

Start the day with an early morning hike to take in the fresh mountain air and seasonal blooms. Check in at the elegant Cederberg Ridge Wilderness Lodge for an afternoon of relaxation and comfort.

Travel to the flower rich Biedouw Valley, famous for its dazzling displays of daisies and other spring blooms. Visit the charming flower church in Clanwilliam before returning to Cederberg Ridge for your final night.
